Overview

For the mechanics of an engagement, see how it works. For the thinking behind it, see our philosophy and executive perspectives.

Why don't you publish pricing?
Every engagement is bespoke. The scope depends on your strategic objectives, operational maturity, leadership team, and commercial priorities. Following an initial consultation, we develop a tailored engagement.
How many clients do you accept?
A limited number each quarter. We intentionally restrict new partnerships to ensure every client receives direct senior involvement.
Why do you limit engagements?
Because implementation creates value. We work inside businesses—not outside them. Depth produces better outcomes than volume.
Do you guarantee results?
No. No credible advisory firm guarantees commercial outcomes. What we guarantee is senior involvement, disciplined execution, and an unwavering commitment to building a stronger business.
What happens after I apply?
We begin with a strategic consultation to understand your objectives, assess alignment, and determine whether Founder1st is the right operating partner for your business. If there is mutual fit, we conduct a comprehensive business assessment and develop a tailored engagement.
What if we are not a fit?
We will tell you. We value long-term relationships more than short-term engagements. If we are not the best partner to help you achieve your objectives, we will say so.
What kind of businesses does Founder1st work with?
Founder-led and closely held firms with established revenue — typically financial services, professional services and commercial services businesses — that are ready to move from personality-dependent operation to institutional infrastructure.
How is Founder1st different from a consulting firm or an agency?
Consultants deliver recommendations and agencies deliver campaigns. We partner with leadership teams to design and implement operating infrastructure — commercial systems, governance, cadence and leadership structure — and we remain involved through execution.
How does an engagement begin?
With a private consultation, followed by a comprehensive assessment of commercial performance, operational maturity, leadership and financial performance. The assessment determines the design of the engagement.
How long does an engagement last?
Engagements are structured around implementation rather than a fixed calendar. Because we work inside businesses through execution, relationships are measured in quarters rather than weeks.
Do you work remotely or on site?
Both. The operating cadence is maintained remotely; assessment, leadership alignment and strategy sessions are frequently conducted on site where that produces a better outcome.
What is The Infrastructure Advantage™?
It is our central conviction: that infrastructure — not effort, personality or activity — is what creates enterprise value, attracts capital, improves EBITDA and allows a business to scale beyond its founder.
